Location Data

Build Touch does not continuously track your location and does not use background location services or geofencing.

Location is only requested when you intentionally use a feature that requires it, such as Touch Time or another location-based feature. When location is requested, it is used only to support that specific action.

If location capture is disabled by your company, Touch Time will continue to function, but no location information will be recorded.

Retention. When a location is recorded, it is kept as a dated record. Build Touch retains a history of these records rather than only the most recent one, so a second visit to the same job on the same day does not replace the first.

Removing a touch removes it from your time card. It does not erase a location that was already recorded; the record remains, and is no longer shown as a visit to that job.

Exact coordinates are visible only to your company’s owners and administrators. Build Touch does not compare a recorded location against a job site’s address, and does not measure, flag or act on the distance between the two.

Weather Data

Weather information is only retrieved when you explicitly request it by tapping the Weather button. It is never retrieved automatically or in the background.

Consent

Before location data is collected for the first time, you will be asked to review and acknowledge this policy. Your consent, along with the date, time, and app version, is recorded. If this policy changes in the future, you will be asked to acknowledge the updated version before location services are used again.

Demo Requests

When you request a demo on the Build Touch website we collect your name, email address and phone number. We use them to give you access to the demo and to contact you about Build Touch by email and phone. We also record the wording you agreed to, the date and time, and the address and browser your request came from, as proof of your consent. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time at support@buildtouch.app. We do not sell this information.

Data Security & Privacy

Build Touch uses industry-standard security practices to protect employee information. Data is transmitted using encrypted connections and stored securely. Access to company data is limited to authorized users based on their role within the platform.

Your data is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Limited information may be processed by trusted service providers that are necessary to operate Build Touch, such as cloud hosting, mapping, or weather services. These providers process data only as required to deliver the application’s functionality.

Location information is collected solely for legitimate business functions within Build Touch and is never used for continuous employee monitoring.
